Most people are surprised when they learn that Ming the Merciless is actually an identity that R.E. Darby writes under. Darby said, "Ming serves as my system of checks and balances by being my greatest critic which helps keep me from getting too arrogant. Now, I know that sounds a little schizophrenic, but I sometimes use the concept of schizophrenia as part of my strategies to maintain an objective point of view."
Well, we have never heard schizophrenia used quite like that before and we're probably going to leave it alone for now. But we believethat Ming represents Darby's humorous side and after reading the article The Emperor's Arrival we have decided to also include his twisted side. And we did, right after we stopped laughing.
